Did You Know:

Hammerhead sharks can get tan! Spending much of their time in shallow waters with exposure to sunlight, hammerhead sharks can turn from a light brown to almost all black.

Sand tiger sharks are denser than water and maintain buoyancy by swallowing air and holding it in their stomachs.

The epaulette shark can use its fins like legs to walk when the tide is too low to swim.

There are over 500 known species of shark.

Sharks can lose up to 35,000 teeth in a lifetime.

Humans kill more sharks than sharks kill people.

What To Do During Shark Summer

Shark & Ray Encounters

Put on a wet suit and test the waters. Snorkel and come within inches of sandbar and sand tiger sharks. Then swim and feed dozens of playful stingrays, all in one visit!

Shark Bridge

Do you dare to cross? Shark Bridge, presented by Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, is the longest rope suspension bridge of its kind, allowing you to walk just inches above sand tiger, sandbar and nurse sharks along with other animals.

Shark Tunnel

Our 40-foot Shark Tunnel provides the experience of being completely surrounded by Shark Realm with dozens of sharks and 200 other animals swimming above and around you.
