CAMDEN, N.J.— In a new partnership that’s bound to make a splash, Adventure Aquarium and Shriners Children’s Philadelphia are now working together to enhance the family-centered experiences at Adventure Aquarium.
As part of a new, multi-year corporate sponsorship, Shriners Children’s Philadelphia will serve as the official presenting sponsor of Adventure Aquarium’s “Hippo Haven,” home to two Nile hippopotamuses, and the Aquarium’s annual “Christmas Underwater” event featuring Scuba Santa.
To serve families and spotlight health and well-being, Shriners Children’s Philadelphia is sponsoring family-inclusive F.I.S.H. nights, strollers, wheelchairs, the nursing station and hand sanitizer stations at Adventure Aquarium.
“We are pleased to welcome Shriners Children’s Philadelphia as an Adventure Aquarium partner,” said Molly Deese, executive director at Adventure Aquarium. “The partnership is exciting, since it encompasses two of our most popular attractions, Hippo Haven and Christmas Underwater, and also provides increased access for our healthcare workers and guests with disabilities through events.”
Under the agreement, signs highlighting the compassionate, innovative care provided by Shriners Children’s Philadelphia will appear throughout Adventure Aquarium.
“We have a special connection with Adventure Aquarium,” said Stephanie Byrwa, marketing and communications director for Shriners Children’s Philadelphia, a 49-bed pediatric specialty hospital. “While we are in different industries, we share the core value of bringing families closer together.”
