CAMDEN, N.J. (March 22, 2022) – HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BUTTON! Today, Adventure Aquarium’s Nile hippo Button is excited to celebrate her 25th birthday with Aquarium staff, guests, and fellow animal residents. As part of her birthday celebration presented by Xfinity, Aquarium staff surprised Button with a delicious birthday cake made from squash and watermelon – download video here.
When asked how she felt about turning 25, Button said, “Most gals would get upset about being another year closer to 30, but not me! My birthday means I get extra snacks, and working on this beautiful figure is always my top priority.”
Button is one of just two hippos in the world exhibited at an aquarium, only joined in the ranks by her bestie and Hippo Haven roommate, Genny.
