Audio Tour

The humphead wrasse, or giant wrasse, is a large reef-dwelling fish from the Indo-Pacific. Juvenile wrasses are white with dark bars and lines, while adults range from blueish-green to purple-blue in color. Remarkably, all humphead wrasses are born female, with some transitioning to male around nine years old, and staying male for life.
