Cuttlefish are cephalopods related to octopus and squid. Using chromatophores, Flamboyant Cuttlefish can pulse colors across their skin making a “wave” of color. This patterned color change is used as communication with other cuttlefish, hunting prey, deterring predators, and for courtship.
