Fish, amphibians, small mammals. Opportunistic hunters.

Dwarf caimans are the smallest crocodilians. They are nocturnal, hunting at night and basking in the sun during the day. They can climb trees and bask on branches over the water and ambush their predators; they wait for prey to come close and then attack.
