Argentine horned frogs rarely move. They hide on the forest floor, partially covered with leaves, waiting for a potential meal to scurry by. Horned frogs have a voracious appetite and will eat anything that can fit into their mouth, including snakes, mice, birds and other frogs. Their bodies can be as wide as it is long, with their head and huge mouth being almost as wide as their body. They do not have long tongues to catch insects. Because of their huge mouth, they are also called Pac-Man frogs. Horned frogs fill up with water which helps them to always to stay hydrated.
