Waddle On Over. Get ready for an up-close and personal experience with our African penguins pals and exclusive time with a penguin expert. Penguin Encounters are 20 minutes long and offered Fridays, weekends and Mondays at 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.

African penguins are listed as “Endangered” under the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. Adventure Aquarium has 51 African penguins in its colony, including the oldest resident at the Aquarium, Cliff, who is 33 years old.
