DON’T JUST LOOK. TOUCH.
TOUCH animals in a whole new way with our new INTERACTION ATTRACTIONS! That’s right! Now you and your family can visit FOUR SEPARATE TOUCH AREAS and experience AND TOUCH so many of the world’s most exotic creatures including…
Interactive Inlet
Moon Jellyfish - Usually the most widely recognized group of jellyfish. They are easily distinguished by the four pink horseshoe-shapes in their bells (gelatinous bodies). Jellyfish swim horizontally, which spreads out their tentacles to catch more food.
Fresh Water Sting Rays - Native to South America, fresh water sting rays live in shallow water spending a lot of time buried in the soft mud or sand, with only their eyes and spiracles (small holes behind the eyes that allow rays to continue breathing while motionless) exposed. These fresh water creatures are carnivorous, feeding on small clams, mussels and invertebrates that live in the sand and mud, and have a spotted pattern that provides camouflage against predators. Adventure Aquarium is one of only a handful of facilities to feature fresh water sting rays in a touch setting, creating yet another unique opportunity to personally connect with these amazing animals.
Sharks! – You can also touch two new shark species at Interactive Inlet here to help you get in touch with your Inner Shark.
