Clean Ocean Action began state wide bi-annual beach sweeps in 1985,
collecting trash as well as valuable data about marine debris in our
area. This data helps spread the word about the dangers marine debris
poses to wildlife and humans and also shapes policies and programs to
reduce litter in our area.
