INSIDER TIP:

Although times are not guaranteed, Animal Up-Close Encounters typically occur at the top of each hour, between 10 am - 5 pm, and always take place at the stage near Irazu Falls (Zone A).

Be on the lookout for a special encounter with a rodent: guinea pig, chincilla, degu, rabbit; reptile: terrapin, turtle; or bird: penguin, macaw, parrot; during one of our daily animal experiences.

New for 2013! Exclusive opportunities to meet our newest additions - Southern Three-Banded armadillo (the only species of armadillo that can completely roll into a ball!) and Alligator Hatchlings - better known as miniature versions of Mighty Mike!

From the cute and the cuddly to the cool and bizarre, you never know what you'll see up close.
