Spotted Lagoon Jelly

Size: Up to 4 inches diameter
Habitat/Range: Coastal waters of Indian and southern Pacific Oceans

Nicknamed "lagoon jellies" because of their natural lagoon, bay and harbor habitats in the South Pacific, the distinctive spotted jelly has a rounded, greenish-brown bell and four clumps of club-like appendages - known as oral arms. These oral arms are filled with tiny mouth openings that are used to capture small animal plankton, versus a single mouth.
