Educational Programs

The Center for Aquatic Sciences at Adventure Aquarium offers a variety of educational programs to enhance your field trip. Hands-on programs are designed to support your classroom’s science curriculum and enhance Common Core Curriculum Standards and Next Generation Science Standards. Whether you’re studying habitats or adaptations, these programs will enrich your students’ experience at Adventure Aquarium and create advocates for the environment.

Program duration and pricing may vary based on type of program. Please see list of programs below for descriptions and pricing. Educational add-on programs are offered Monday through Friday between September and May except for major holidays.

Summer Camps

Small Fry Camp

Small Fry Camp is a full-day or half-day program for children ages 4-6! Small Fry campers will explore the wonders of the natural world through hands-on science activities that engage the five senses and encourage curiosity. Campers will also meet live animals, participate in story time and crafts, and enjoy a daily snack.

Ocean Explorers Camp

Ocean Explorers Camp is for children ages 7-10 to explore the ocean and meet the amazing animals that live there. Each week throughout the summer, the focus is on a different theme. Campers visit aquarium exhibits, conduct science experiments, meet live animals, and engage in fun-filled games and activities that they won’t soon forget!

Junior Marine Biologist Camp

Junior Marine Biologists Camp is for children ages 11-14 and provides the opportunity to dive deep into the summer camp experience and discover what it is like to be a marine biologist! Campers visit aquarium exhibits and behind-the-scenes areas, conduct science experiments, and encounter live animals.
